Silu – First Newari Movie (1987)

shilu movie Silu or Shilu is the first Newari (Nepal Bhasa) film ever made. The movie was released on November of 1987.


“Silu” is a celebrated Newari story which was made into the movie. The story is about an obstinate woman who insists on accompanying her husband to Gosaikund although there is a taboo against it.
